Deuteronomy 7:9 states, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, He is the faithful God. Keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.”

God never ceases to amaze me! Every year in the spring, I enjoy watching all of the flowers grow and bloom! My favorite flowers have always been tulips! Two weeks a go, I got a reminder in my feed about the tulips north of Dallas. It has been a desire of mine to visit this place. I was afraid to take Waylon and the boys because of the distance, so I prayed about it for some time. I kept getting that tug in my heart that I was supposed to go. So, I explained to Waylon the importance of this trip to me, and he agreed that we should go. I now understand why I was supposed to visit the tulips. If you haven’t ever been to Texas Tulips, I urge you to go. It is a little piece of heaven that God has put on earth. It is owned by a couple from the Netherlands. They have turned their small business into a wonderful experience for families from all over the world. As you drive up, you see fields of 100 different varieties of colorful tulips! I felt giddy like a little child as we parked! I walked through the tulips, I exhaled and began to talk to God, thanking Him for getting us there safely, and with each tulip I picked I was reminded of different blessings God has given me through the years. The first one I picked was called Spring Break! I laughed out loud with that, and thought how appropriate because we were on spring break. I thanked God for this week and a break. It has been a busy and tiring couple of months for our family, so we needed a break from the world and distractions of satan. Another tulip I picked was called Happy Generation. It reminded of the verse above about God keeping his promises to a thousand generations that remain in love with God. Oh how I love God! He has kept me and delivered me so many times. There were so many to see, but between all of us, we could only afford a certain amount. So, I took plenty of pictures to capture the beauty and reminders of God’s promises.

After you are through picking there are workers stationed to put your tulips in wrapped bouquets. And it was there that God blessed me with a Godly encounter. It was during this encounter, that my heart was affirmed that this is where God wanted me to be. My heart was guided to two specific women. While they were bundling our bouquets, God began to move in our conversation. God began to pour out testimonies from the women about how they prayed for a woman to bless this morning with the faithfulness of God in their life. All of my hurt and frustration I had been experiencing began to release. I told them about why I was there, and about Waylon’s stroke. They had seen him in the field using his walker, and could tell that he had suffered a stroke. One of them went on to tell me about how she lost her husband and how God has helped her get through loss. The other told me about a son she had lost recently. As we talked, cried, and experienced an overwhelming presence of God, we began to pray together. This Godly encounter was exactly what I needed, and God knew that. I needed to be reminded that no matter how hard it gets and no matter the exhaustion, God would get me through. He also reminded me that there are so many other faithful Christians that have been through similar trials and are remaining faithful in Christ. Before I left, we exchanged numbers, and I plan on keeping in touch with them. For I will be forever grateful for their obedience to share their testimonies, and that I was that woman God wanted them to meet and bless. God needed me to be reminded of his faithfulness and that He would establish and guard me against the evil one.

Dear God, Thank you so much for these encounters with other believers. I praise you God for your faithfulness! Thank you for never ceasing to amaze me! Thank you for fields of tulips and little pieces of Heaven. I can’t wait to experience many more of these! Love, Me.
