I want to spend this post thanking God for His protection over Waylon, my husband. It has been five months since Waylon’s stroke. Doctors and therapists are amazed by his progress and hard work. They don’t understand how he is not paralyzed and unable to talk. Waylon and I are quick to tell them about the power of prayers and God. We know where our help comes from and want to share that with others. Although we are living and witnessing a walking miracle everyday, it hasn’t been all biscuits and gravy during this process. There were many days of tears and frustration. As many of you probably know how strokes can affect the brain, it is a long healing process. Being a caretaker myself, there are times when I become impatient or agitated. In these times I am quickly reminded and humbled by the quiet voice of our friend the Holy Spirit about God’s Grace and gentleness towards his children. My admiration then grows even stronger for the man I love and married 22 years ago. The devil has tried many times to kill and destroy him. Yet, God! God is continuing to heal and use Waylon. Not just in the lives of others, but in me. God is teaching me so many life lessons while walking with a miracle. Thank you God for keeping your hand on Waylon. Thank you for the lessons You are teaching me. Love, me.
