Every summer my family likes to make a trip to the beach. It has been one of my favorite memories since I was seven years old. My parents keep the tradition of going with the grandkids as well. We all love adventuring to the beach. However, most of us do not care to get sand all over! But, we love to see the waves and hear the waves crash on the shoreline. I get “God-bumps” every time I sit next to one of God’s most powerful and captivating wonders. I love walking on the beach early in the mornings when life is calm and the cleaner and dolphins are the only ones present. Time escapes me as I ponder about the creative imagination God has and that He would care so much about me that He directs the waves and winds how far they must come. He gives the seagulls and cranes their song as they dive into the waves. Even the sand between my toes was made for a specific reason. God gave it its purpose. It gives me comfort knowing that my God continues to control and set motion to the world around me. He gives His people a purpose. God wants us to see His creativeness and majesty. He is the Sovereign Lord of our lives.
Psalm 9:1-2 I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name. O Most High.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for Your constant reminder that You are in control of my life and that You love us. The sands on a beach don’t measure to Your love for us. You truly are majestic. Amen.
