Springtime is my favorite season of the year. I mean of course I love Christmas time, but as far as the time of year, spring would have to be the time of year I find more joy. I can smell the freshness of the new buds blooming out on the trees and the radiant sun dancing as it rises. The birds begin singing their morning praises and the butterflies start stretching out their wings. As I sit on my back porch, I watch fawns sneak out with their mommas to start foraging for their breakfast. I love the smell of dew on the tulips and lilies. My friend, the woodpecker, in the distance and the humming of hummingbirds. I don’t have to turn on my praise music in the spring, I simply just listen to the praises of nature. I close my eyes and let the morning sun kiss my face. I feel that it is my heavenly Father kissing my forehead just like my father and mother did growing up. His reminder that I am His child and that He loves me. There is no greater feeling than the embrace of God. He is there for every season of our lives. Seasons may change, but He is never changing.
Malachi 3:6. I am God; I change not. Psalm 91:4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for the seasons you give us. Even in times of change and uncertainty we can rest in Your embrace. Your love is unshaken. Amen
